The Opening ceremony of the second training course on International Master in Rural Economics and Sociology (IMARES) was held at Hanoi University of Agriculture (HUA) on 10^th, August 2010. This is a training association program between HUA and the University of Liège (Ulg) – Belgium.

          The participants consist: Assoc Prof. Tran Duc Vien, Rector of HUA, Prof. Dang Vu Binh – Coordinator of Vietnam - Belgium Projet, Prof. Philippe Burny – Ulg - Belgium, deans of different faculties, lectures and all students of the second training course (2009-2010).

          The Rector of HUA opening addressed the second course and hoped the training program would be sucessfully executed. He showed the special interests in this program. Prof. Dang Vu Binh introduced about project and encouraged all students in their studies. Prof. Philippe Burny insisted on the important of the training association program between HUA and Ulg – Belgium.

          The first course started on August 2009 with 17 students. All students defended their theses successfully. Entering the second course, the program has selected 16 students including: 02 students of Laos, 02 students of Cambodia and 09 students of Hanoi.

          The successfully of this program will promise many opportunities to exchange, cooperate between lectures in Vietnam with the other country in religion and Europe. Concomitantly contributting positively to the mission to development the human source in economics and rural sociology field of three countries: Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
